Petronas Art Competition 2015

This post is long overdue! I notice the importance of keeping all of my art histories in

this blog so as to appreciate the effort I have put into keeping this hobby alive amidst

my busy routine. But time has changed me into somebody who prefers doing all the 

other things over updating this blog. Now is one of the rare times when I hear that 

whisper to update this blog on my highest achievement in art because I don't think I 

could ever achieve something like this again in my entire life:

winning 'Best Interpretation of The Theme' in Petronas Art Competition 2015.

Crazy right? Somebody like me, winning this huge thing? Probably one of the

luckiest days in my life, alhamdulillah :)

It felt crazier to see all the other winners having a strong background in art- like

some of them studied fine art for degree! Their winning pieces are a thousand times 

better than mine tbh! :D

My piece was displayed in Galeri Petronas in KLCC for like a month before they took it

down for other paintings. Got a Samsung Galaxy S6 as the award which I have sold to my

friend. The theme was 'Energy-present and future'. My painting is entitled 'The Twin Plug

Sockets' where the left hand side shows a socket giving energy derived from coal (present) 

while the right hand side gives out energy derived from biomass (future). Notice that the

left 'switch' is on. geddit? The switch is on? Double meaning lols.

Autumn

This was my first time painting on canvas using acrylic, and I must admit, it was fun and fulfilling!

Like, even though how ugly the painting turned out to be, it still look hang-worthy/display-worthy,

 because of the quality of the materials used lol.

sceneries

i swear the first painting looked better the day i made it.. the colours faded 

over time making the colours of the sky look really weird and messy

i really like the clouds in the third painting 'cos i think only the clouds look real.

i need to have more practice on making a more realistic painting. and more patience as well

judo as the malacca tree. he should be praised for all his hard work and commitment towards cp as he got himself ready as a tree by himself without complaining, although it was actlly under my responsibilty. i kinda felt guilty for neglecting the 'malacca tree' and put the blame on costume department. haha.. thanks judo.

the pirates ship. the 2nd most fragile thing after 'the bushes'. unfortunately, nobody has taken the photo of the bushes. sobs T.T

the actors, actresses, costumes, props, backdrop & the noise made a perfect combination for 'suasana kampung'

this is only a part of the pelamin that costs a lotta money. sadly, nobody has taken a full picture of the pelamin including ME. stupidos. =.= and btw, the couple in the photo weren't acting, they're for real. ;)

oh, there's another prop. the 'tandu'.
but no photo as well. sigh. i should've given my camera to someone during cp. awwh why didn't i think about this before? =.=

when i was tidying up my closet, i found this poster in one of the drawers,it is the one i made for an interhouse competition when i was in form 4.. no wonder i lost! hahah XD..


i also found this drawing.. my art teacher praised me for this drawing & i was so happy about it!!X) i drew this one when i was in form2..
